Ah... the long-fabled Vegetarian Reality Check. I'm not capping "vegetarian" this whole RC, because I am lazy and I think it is silly, but I do recognize that it's (apparently) supposed to be capitalized.

So, what's my problem here, you're probably asking yourself... it's these damn videos. My goodness. Let me state a few things.

I love animals. I for some reason have a natural affinity to them... best example I could think of was when I was hanging out with my (now ex) girlfriend, and she was like. "Don't pet that cat!" and I was like. "lol stfu" and the cat was all cool around me and stuff. Well listen, the point is I like animals.

That's why I eat them.

There's a right way to being a vegetarian, and a wrong way. The right way is choosing the eating habits because of health reasons. It's well-known that unless you go to a mom-and-pop butcher around the street, the meat you're eating is probably of low quality cow or chicken. Also, maybe, these people genuinely don't like meat. That's perfectly acceptable and I applaud you for practicing such nice self-control.

But what I don't like is when 13-year-olds watch a video on MySpace and say "OH LAWD, THOSE POOR ANIMALS HAD TO DEAL WITH THAT TO BE MY MEAL ;_______;".
Let's sit back and think. The vegetarians supposedly "love" the animals. Right, okay, I can understand that. You won't eat the animal, because it was killed for you to eat. Well, guess what that animal's going to do now that you haven't eaten him? Well... nothing! It's going to stay there and rot, and then be thrown away.

McDonalds has a 1-day throw away policy thing. They take out the meat in the morning, let its disgusting juices hit the stale air and create a process we call "thawing". That meat, is already dead. All they're doing by not eating it is wasting its body. It's already dead. You didn't kill it. The poor cow is not going to be sad that you ate her. In fact! I'd venture to say she'd be happy. That's because she knows she died for a reason.

So you log into MySpace and see "URGENT: ANIMALS BEING SLAUGHTERED" or "LOKE HERE 4 ANIMALS BE ABUSED NEVAR EAT MEATS". Other than raising "animal awareness", there is no point in showing that. I'm aware my hamburger I just ate was bashed on the head twice with a large mallet. I don't QUESTION what -exact process- was going on in that ONE SINGLE FACTORY, like 50 years ago, in some depraved country that has no laws anyway, that we don't even accept imports from. So please, if you have a heart at all, do not show these videos. I'd rather people not know, and actually want to eat veggies vs. meat for another, healthy reason.

Now to make sure I'm always 100% correct and no one can shut down any arguments I have, I like to get field experience for my RC's. Might I add that of the two vegetarians I've contacted, they both tried to do this "turn the tables" thing. Made me look evil 'cuz I don't want to suck on a carrot for the rest of my life and become all weak and pastey-looking. Anyhoo. So this one man who threatened to use his flimsy-armed self to punch me in the face of The Internets, said:

well wut if it wuz ur cat that was being eaten

And so I said to this flimsy-armed man:

"But alas! It is not."

(that's all that had to be said)

In closing, I'd like to say that I do love animals. I can't imagine that I would be one of those animal-killer people, for any regular pay. I guess if I was getting like 16 bucks for it an hour (these people sometimes do) then I would. I mean I like gore enough. Well actually, except when the meat's all frozen and nasty. Thas' no cool.

GOOD GAME,
Vael Victus
